Farallon was engaged to review and evaluate environmental data regarding Port of Anacortes tenants to estimate future costs for environmental investigation and cleanup actions. A site reconnaissance was conducted at individual leaseholds, and a detailed evaluation of leasehold documentation was completed for each Port tenant. Farallon compared tenant data against current regulatory cleanup requirements to identify data gaps for each tenant leasehold, and developed cost estimates for addressing the data gaps and cleaning up soil, groundwater, and/or sediments. The results of the evaluation were used to support negotiations between the Port of Anacortes and affiliated insurance companies.
