Our team of experts provides a wide range of support to utility installation and replacement projects, including permitting; hydrographic, land, and aerial surveys; sampling and testing of sediments; access route design; and sediment transport and disposal services.
Using advanced seismic geophysical survey techniques, we locate buried underwater utility lines at project sites. We conduct pre-lay surveys of proposed routes for fiber-optic communication cables, gas and water pipelines, and water and mass transit tunnels. To support utility installation and maintenance projects, we conduct bathymetric surveys that identify access routes into sensitive wetlands and marshes. We use high-resolution side-scan sonar to image underwater utilities on the seafloor, and sub-bottom profilers and marine magnetometers to locate buried underwater utilities.
