Farallon conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the landfill gas collection system operating at the Roosevelt Regional Landfill in Roosevelt, Washington. The evaluation was undertaken on behalf of the Klickitat Public Utility District to assess the design, construction, start-up, and operation and maintenance of the system and provide recommendations for improvements to the system. Specific tasks included auditing well connections, updating the landfill gas collection system site map, evaluating the process used to monitor and adjust the landfill gas extraction well and trench, and assessing gas system problem areas.
Farallon also evaluated short- and long-term gas system management plans and reviewed expansion plans for the landfill gas system. Several of these tasks are continuing work as part of Farallon's ongoing involvement with the landfill.
