Bio
Richard is a Principal Geochemist and has more than 36 years of experience in hazardous management, geoscience engineering, geochemistry, and geohydrology. He has hands-on experience managing regional and site facility scale projects for a wide range of issues, from immediate response assessments to long-term planning studies. He has worked closely with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, California Environmental Protection Agency, and Water Boards, in addition to county and city agencies on Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act sites to design and implement remedies to achieve regulatory closure for commercial and government clients. He has extensive experience in evaluating pathways of exposure to identify and design remediation systems and oversee their implementation.

Richard is an avid traveler with a special attraction to places that converge around interesting cultures, great food, and geology. He and his family have explored many active volcanoes around the world, which they enjoyed almost as much as he did. When not immersed in work, he enjoys photography, backpacking, hiking, scuba diving, tennis, cooking, and reading. He loves the rich cultural milieu of the Bay Area.
