Hamilton/Labree Superfund Site

Farallon conducted a Remedial Investigation/ Feasibility Study (RI/FS) on behalf of a potentially responsible party for this groundwater contamination Superfund site near Chehalis, Washington. The RI/FS was conducted under EPA oversight and in accordance with an Administrative Order on Consent between EPA and the property owner to investigate contaminants of potential concern (COPCs), including PCE and associated degradation products, in the local aquifer systems at the site. Sources of COPCs were identified at multiple areas of the site and at an up-gradient source area.

Farallon developed a scope of work under EPA oversight for the initial phase of the RI/FS to assess the nature and extent of groundwater contamination in the local aquifer systems at the site. The results of the RI/FS were used to establish a remedial action that is protective of human health and the environment.
